Abstract
- Aromatic 1,2,4-diazaphospholes featuring distinct hybrid-mode nitrogen atoms (N(λ <superscript>3</superscript> σ <superscript>2</superscript> ), N(λ <superscript>3</superscript> σ <superscript>3</superscript> )) and low-valent phosphorus atoms (λ <superscript>3</superscript> σ <superscript>2</superscript> ) exhibited the characteristic of serving as unique hybrid ligands. This study presented a one-pot reaction involving the base-promoted stepwise cyclization of hydrazonoyl chlorides and [Bu <subscript>4</subscript> N][P(SiCl <subscript>3</subscript> ) <subscript>2</subscript> ] to yield 1,2,4-diazaphospholes, providing an effective method for synthesizing such compounds.
