Abstract

Hemidiaphragm paralysis, a complication of catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation, can severely affect respiratory function and can lead to paradoxical breathing and dyspnea on exertion. A 75-year-old woman with iatrogenic diaphragm paralysis showed improved symptoms, respiratory function, and exercise tolerance after video-assisted thoracoscopic diaphragm plication.<br />Competing Interests: Authors declare no conflict of interests for this article.<br /> (© 2024 The Authors.
