Abstract
- Three recent publications by Du et al., <superscript>1</superscript> Balasubramanian et al., <superscript>2</superscript> and Zhang et al. <superscript>3</superscript> identified palmitoylation on cysteine 191/192 in gasdermin D as a key determinant of gasdermin D membrane translocation and oligomerization, ensuring efficient plasma membrane permeabilization during pyroptosis.<br />Competing Interests: Declaration of interests The authors declare no competing interests.<br /> (Copyright © 2024 Elsevier Inc.
