Abstract

Implantation of prosthetic heart valves may result in both early and late complications. Early complications are usually structural and can have significant hemodynamic consequences. In this clinical vignette, we highlight how malposition of a newly implanted aortic valve resulted in alterations of coronary perfusion pressure physiology and subsequent significant hemodynamic effects.<br />Competing Interests: Dr Feroze Mahmood has received financial compensation from GE and Abbott for the creation of educational content.
