Abstract
- FastFish-ID via Closed-Tube barcoding is a portable platform for rapid and accurate identification of fish species that was conceived at Brandeis University, commercialized at Thermagenix, Inc., and further improved at Ecologenix, LLC (see Chap. 17 in this volume). This chapter focuses on the use of FastFish-ID for (1) identification of intraspecies variants, (2) quantitative use of FastFish-ID to measure the decay of fresh fish, and (3) use of FastFish-ID for the identification of dried and processed shark fins.<br /> (© 2024.
