Abstract
- Competing Interests: KMK reports funding to his institution from National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Balnave's Foundation; honorarium for providing expert advice to the Coroners Court of NSW; and is an unpaid Co-Chair of the Hearing for Learning Initiative, a member of the Australian Otitis Media Guidelines Technical Advisory Group, a Committee member of the Australian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (ASOHNS), and the Chair Mina of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Committee. CMM reports funding to her institution from NHMRC and the Australian Commonwealth Government and she is the Director of the HEAR Centre, a WHO Collaborating Centre, unpaid Co-Chair of the Indigenous Ear Health working group, and Co-Chair of the Innovations in Service Delivery group for the Lancet Commission on Global Hearing Loss.
