Abstract
- This commentary describes recent research discovering that the NAC transcription factor gene ZmNAC78 controls iron intake in maize and its implications for biofortification of this important crop. Using ZmNAC78, iron levels in maize can be more than doubled compared with current varieties.<br /> (© 2024 Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences.)
