Competing Interests: Potential conflicts of interest. J. R. M. reports grants or contracts related to being a member of protocol leadership for the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID)/COVID-19 Prevention Study (CoVPN) vaccine study CoVPN 3006/Prevent COVID U and previously received salary support for this activity which has ended; previously received consultative honorarium for serving on an antimicrobial stewardship grant review panel from Pfizer Global Medical Grants/Mayo Clinic Global Bridges; previously received honorarium for speaking from the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, California Pacific Medical Center, Creighton University, Indiana University, Mayo Clinic, Pew Charitable Trusts, University of Iowa Medical School, and University of Pittsburgh; previously received support for attending meetings and/or travel from the Infectious Diseases Society of America Board of Directors, Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases, and American College of Physicians; participation as vice chair of an external advisory board for an NIH/NIAID antibiotic resistance leadership group; serving as an editorial advisory board member for Open Forum Infectious Diseases and Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology; and a former position as board member for the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
