Abstract

A complementary solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis was performed for LiBH <subscript>4</subscript> -ZrO <subscript>2</subscript> nanocomposites. As a result, amorphous LiBH <subscript>4</subscript> films with thicknesses of less than 30 nm were observed covering the ZrO <subscript>2</subscript> particles. Li imaging by energy-filtered TEM is useful for the real-space characterization of nanoscale LiBH <subscript>4</subscript> .
