Abstract: Sleep disorders are very common in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and psychiatric disorders. Sleep disturbances can be both an independent condition and are one of the symptoms in the structure of a psychopathological syndrome. The negative impact of sleep disorders and mental disorders on the course of T2DM is known from numerous publications. This article presents current information on the mutual influence of mental disorders and sleep disorders on the course and prognosis of T2DM.
