Abstract

Recently, two new classifications were released: the International Consensus Classification (ICC) drafted by the Clinical Advisory Committee and the short version of the 5th Edition of the WHO classification of hematolymphoid tumors. In light of new clinical, morphological, and molecular data, both classifications also revised the classification of peripheral T‑cell lymphomas. In addition to relatively minor changes in terminology and disease definitions, both new classifications mirror the considerable gain of knowledge on the genetic alterations of different T‑cell lymphoma entities. The present review summarizes the most important changes for T‑cell lymphomas in both classifications, the differences between the classifications, and diagnostically relevant issues.<br /> (© 2023.
