Abstract
- "Current management of multiple sclerosis Significant advances has been made in the management of MS patients. The treatment of relapses is well codified, and highly effective disease-modifying therapies target the inflammatory component in relapsing-remitting form of the disease, by reducing the frequency of relapses and the risk of the onset and worsening of disability. Disease-modifying therapies are less effective in the progressive forms of the disease. The management of the symptoms of the disease, often leading to disability, remains essential. It involves a coordinated multidisci¬plinary approach requiring the participation of many health professionals. It must also include the patient, as an active participant, in the management of his disease."<br />Competing Interests: Les auteurs déclarent n’avoir aucun lien d’intérêts.
