Abstract

Competing Interests: We have no relevant conflicts of interest. Three authors have grant support. Dr Bergmark has active grant support from Mass General Brigham (United Against Racism Specialty Program Grant) and from Brigham Health (Faculty Career Development Award) for work on access to surgical care. Dr Schnipper has active support from the National Institutes of Health and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for research on transitions of care, medication safety, and hospital readmissions (R01AG058911, R34DA048268). Dr Weissman is funded by the National Institutes of Health and has recent funding from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (1R01MD011695-01) for research on the measurement of surgical disparities, and current funding by the National Institute on Aging (R01AG067507) for work unrelated to the subject matter. The remaining author has no conflicts to disclose.
