Abstract: Phytoplasmas enhance transmission by manipulating plant architecture. Recently, Huang et al. report that SAP05, an effector from a phytoplasma that causes witches' broom, targets host transcription factors for proteasomal degradation by binding host ubiquitin receptor RPN10.
