Abstract
- Rectovaginal fistulas, which are abnormal epithelial-lined connections between the rectum and vagina, are challenging to treat. Treatment of recto-neovaginal fistulas is more complicated due to the altered perineal anatomy in individuals undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
