Abstract: We report a photo-cleavable material for tight trapping of nonadherent cells to substrate surfaces. Model immunocytes were selectively trapped in a non-irradiated area as single cells after the projection of a light pattern and withstood high-speed laminar flow, achieving light-guided cell release from the substrates.
