Abstract: A new variety of Didymocarpus , D.heucherifoliusvar.gamosepalus from Guangdong, China, is described and illustrated with photographs. It closely resembles the more widespread D.heucherifolius within a number of morphological characters. However, it can be easily distinguished from the latter according to the new taxon: calyx base connate, 5-lobed from middle to above middle, larger flowers (up to 5 cm long) and glabrous corolla.
