Abstract

Objective: To review the current evidence and guidelines for diagnosis and management of incidental adrenal masses with a focus on the recent changes made by the American College of Radiology (ACR) Incidental Findings Committee.<br />Conclusion: Incidentally detected adrenal nodules are a commonly encountered finding estimated to occur in 5-7% of the adult population. By following current recommendations, radiologists can improve patient care by efficiently determining which masses require further diagnostic testing and which masses can be considered benign and not require further follow-up.
