Abstract: A supramolecular complex, [Au(C^N^C)(C≡CC <subscript>6</subscript> H <subscript>4</subscript> C≡C)Pt(terpy)] <superscript>+</superscript> , has been synthesized as a photocatalyst for water reduction. This compound consists of a cyclometalated alkyne-gold(III) photosensitizer and a platinum(II) terpyridine complex bridged through a central phenylethynyl group.<br /> (© 2019 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
