Abstract

Transient receptor potential cation channel, subtype melastatin 2 (TRPM2), is important for several physiological functions, such as immune response or temperature regulation. Recently, the structure of full-length TRPM2 from zebrafish was published (Huang et al., 2018) proposing a new activation mechanism - is it really a paradigm shift or just reflects evolution of the channel?.<br /> (Copyright © 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
