Abstract
- Cancer cell preferentially colonize or metastasize to bone. Although the mechanism of bone metastasis still remains poorly understood, cancer cell that metastasize to bone negatively perturb the remodeling process through a series of interactions with osteoclasts, and osteoblasts. These "vicious cycle" promote cancer progression in bone. Sensory neuron innervated in bone is regarded as component of bone microenvironment. Recent study indicated that peripheral neuron system(PNS)promote cancer progression in bone. These insights indicated sensory neuron suppression results in newly cancer treatment of bone metastasis. Here we reviewed the recent findings of interaction between cancer progression and sensory neuron activation in bone.
