Abstract

Ancient human DNA from the Oceanian islands of Vanuatu reveals a surprisingly complex history of human settlement, featuring almost complete replacement shortly after initial colonisation, followed by mixing and a puzzling disconnect between genetic ancestry and language.<br /> (Copyright © 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
