Abstract

The O-polysaccharide was isolated from the lipopolysaccharide of a marine bacterium Simiduia litorea KMM 9504 <superscript>T</superscript> and studied by chemical methods along with 1D and 2D <superscript>1</superscript> H and <superscript>13</superscript> C NMR spectroscopy including <superscript>1</superscript> H, <superscript>1</superscript> H-TOCSY, <superscript>1</superscript> H, <superscript>1</superscript> H-COSY, <superscript>1</superscript> H, <superscript>1</superscript> H-ROESY, <superscript>1</superscript> H, <superscript>13</superscript> C-HSQC and <superscript>1</superscript> H, <superscript>13</superscript> C-HMBC experiments. The following new structure of the O-polysaccharide of S. litorea KMM 9504 <superscript>T</superscript> containing D-galacturonamide, 2-acetamido-2,6-dideoxy-D-glucose and 3,6-dideoxy-3-[(R)-2-hydroxypropanoylamino]-D-galactose was established.<br /> (Copyright © 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
