- Competing Interests: Competing interests: I have read and understood BMJ policy on declaration of interests and declare that through Yale I am a recipient of research agreements from Medtronic and Johnson and Johnson (Janssen) to develop methods of clinical trial data sharing and was the recipient of a research grant from Medtronic for the medical device post-market surveillance enhancement collaboration; I work under contract with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to develop and maintain performance measures that are publicly reported; chair a cardiac scientific advisory board for UnitedHealth; am a participant/participant representative of the IBM Watson Health Life Sciences Board; am a member of the advisory board for Element Science and the physician advisory board for Aetna; am the founder of Hugo, a personal health information platform; and am an officer of ImageCOR.
