Abstract
- The technical details and anatomic features of medial-basal segment (S <superscript>7</superscript> ) segmentectomy have not been reported. We report here thoracoscopic S <superscript>7</superscript> segmentectomy and S <superscript>7</superscript> a subsegmentectomy and explain the anatomic knowledge necessary to perform S <superscript>7</superscript> segmentectomy, especially the importance of recognizing bronchus (B <superscript>7</superscript> ) branching patterns before surgery.<br /> (Copyright © 2017 The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
