Abstract
- Primary neural tumors of the orbit account for approximately 10% of all orbital tumors. Different tumor entities include meningiomas, optic nerve gliomas, neurofibromas, schwannomas, malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors, and granular cell tumors. This review summarizes current concepts regarding epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, pathology, immunohistochemistry, prognosis, and treatment for neural tumors of the orbit based on the available literature.<br /> (Copyright 2017 Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology.)
