Abstract
- Unique nanoporous Co <subscript>3</subscript> O <subscript>4</subscript> fibres and sheets were successfully fabricated via a facile hydrothermal route (150 °C) and subsequent annealing process at 500 °C in air. The excellent microwave absorption of the nanoporous Co <subscript>3</subscript> O <subscript>4</subscript> materials originates not only from the dielectric loss and impedance matching, but also from geometrical effects. Herein, the photocatalytic behavior of the as-prepared Co <subscript>3</subscript> O <subscript>4</subscript> has also been reported based on the degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye in an aqueous medium under simulated solar light.
