[Stomatologic morbidity in children in the Predgornyĭ District, Stavropol Territory].

Tap water fluoridation was juxtaposed to the incidence of dental caries among children residents of Stavropol Territory. The average incidence of dental caries was 86 to 91.5%. This condition was most prevalent in 6 and 15-year groups, and less frequent in 12-year-old group. No correlation could be detected between water fluoride contents and the caries incidence. It seems likely that not only the fluoride levels but other microelements as well produced a beneficial effect on the state of the teeth.
