Abstract
- Cyclopropenylidene carbenes have been found to be efficient catalysts for the intermolecular Stetter reaction between aromatic aldehydes and α,β-unsaturated ketones. In this transformation, the cyclopropenylidene proved superior to more traditional thiazolium- and triazolium-derived carbenes.
