[Effect of acetazolamide on arterial blood lactate levels during recuperation in air from three days of hypercapnia].

After a three day-period of hypercapnia, carbonic anhydrase blockade by acetazolamide inhibits the development of arterial blood alcalosis during the return in normal environment, and thus eliminates the transient increase in lactacidemia due to glycolysis stimulation.
