Abstract
- This article describes an evidence-based project that increased the rate of exclusive breastfeeding in a well-baby population by providing breastfeeding basics to nursing staff on the Mother Infant Services (MIS) units. The clinical implications are that nurses' attitudes and care significantly influence exclusive breastfeeding rates. We contend that resources should be allocated to provide nurses with current evidence-based breastfeeding education.<br /> (© 2012 AWHONN.)
