Abstract
- Nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage is a relatively rare disease, typically secondary to a ruptured aneurysm. We report the case of a 23-year-old patient who developed a subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by extensive cerebral venous thrombosis due to a factor V Leiden mutation. Cerebral venous thrombosis is an uncommon etiology of subarachnoid hemorrhage. This raises diagnostic difficulties and a therapeutic dilemma regarding the use of anticoagulants.<br /> (Copyright © 2012. Published by Elsevier Masson SAS.)
