Abstract
- The prevalence of anaemia in pregnant women in a Jewish community in the Western Area of Jerusalem between 1985-1988 was studied. The prevalence of anaemia in this population was 19%. Anaemia was found to increase significantly with maternal age and parity, and had an indirect association with social class.
