Abstract
- Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are important symbionts that enhance plant growth. They were thought to have been asexual for hundreds of millions of years. A new study reveals that the fungi actually possess highly conserved genetic machinery for completion of meiosis.<br /> (Copyright © 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.)
