Abstract: In 2 boys, aged 3 and 13 years, suffering from severe growth failure, endocrine evaluation showed growth hormone deficiency and central hypothyroidism without diabetes insipidus. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated a transection of the pituitary stalk, and the presence of an ectopic neurohypophyseal nodule.
