Abstract: IN THE TITLE COMPOUND, [SYSTEMATIC NAME: 8,14-secogammacera-7,14(27)-diene-3,21-dione], C(27)H(32)O(9), each of the six-membered rings adopts the common chair conformation. In the crystal, mol-ecules are linked by an O-H⋯O(ester) hydrogen bond into a helical chain.
