Abstract: Ginkgo biloba extract (GBE) is one of the hot spots of drugs extracted from plants recently; it protects brain from ischemia/reperfusion injuries. The mechanism of protective effects includes antioxidation, free radicals clearance, inhibiting the release of excitatory amino acid, anti-inflammation, inhibiting neural apoptosis and other biological effects.
