Abstract: A 15-year-old female with acquired von Willebrand disease associated with hypothyroidism is presented and discussed. The patient was initially seen for right lower quadrant abdominal pain and menorrhagia. Once hypothyroidism was diagnosed and treated her coagulation abnormality resolved.
