Abstract
- The paper gives the results of comparative assessment of ophthalmoergonomic indicators of the visual system in patients with high-grade myopia after contact correction and within 12 months after phacitic intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. A considerable increase in the level of visual analyzer performance was achieved after surgical correction. The found positive changes in visual analyzer performance after phacitic intraocular lens versus contact correction are explainable in the context of physiological optics by the formation of the optimal ocular cornea--phacitic IOL--lens system that ensures great functional reserves for visual perception as a whole as compared with the optical contact lens--cornea--lens system.
