Abstract
- In this review we discuss both gene expression and protein localization changes of polarity proteins in carcinoma. We highlight the importance of protein mislocalization and its possible role in cancer. We also discuss the emerging role of polarity proteins as regulators of proliferation, apoptosis, tissue polarity, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, in addition to their known role in cell junction biogenesis.<br /> (Copyright 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
