Abstract: Complications of dacryocystoceles can be life-threatening in neonates. Dacryocystitis is a common complication of dacryocystoceles. The following case report illustrates the clinical characteristics of dacryocystitis in a 4-day-old infant. The pathophysiology, associated anatomical abnormalities, differential diagnosis, complications, and management of dacryocystoceles are reviewed.
