Abstract
- Genetic differences of various populations of Picea abies (L.) Karst.) have been studied basing on 20 allozyme loci variability. Two populations located in Ukrainian Carpathians (1000-1500 m above sea level) and one plain, island, and scanty population of Polesrye were compared. Despite their different high-altitude location, geographical remoteness and population size the very low genetic differentiation (DN = 0,003-0,005) was observed. Recombination variability analysis showed that populations from Carpathians in contrast to that one from Poles'ye had higher similarity level according to their diloci genotype structure.
