Variance of d' for the same-different method.

Abstract: Variance estimates of d' are derived toward the same-different method based on Taylor-series expansion with one and two variables. The variance estimates can be used for statistical comparison of d's obtained from various discrimination paradigms. Formulas and tables for estimating variance of d' for the method are provided. One S-PLUS program, which can produce both d' and variance of d', is also provided.
