Primary choriocarcinoma of jejunum.

Abstract: A 60-year-old man was admitted with pain in the abdomen and vomiting for one day; radiography revealed pneumoperitoneum. Laparotomy with excision of ulcer-bearing portion of the jejunum was done. Histology revealed choriocarcinoma with syncytiotrophoblastic and cytotrophoblastic cell differentiation. Postoperatively, urine and serum showed high levels of beta-human chorionic gonadotrophins. The patient expired after an unsatisfactory postoperative course.
