Abstract: Photodynamic therapy is an exciting area of research for the treatment of superficial bladder cancer. Significant responses have been seen in patients resistant to standard intravesical treatments. New areas of research are focused on the development of new sensitizers and light distribution methods with less dermal and bladder toxicity.
