Abstract: The study of the autonomic status of the body in 38 patients with different forms of chronic purulent otitis media (CPOM) has demonstrated that patients with exacerbation or complication of CPOM were for the most part sympathotonics and normotonics. The former had more persistent disease with more frequent recurrences.
