Abstract
- What is the place of the 'scoop' in contemporary Brazilian journalism? The question requires first understanding the specificity of the scoop as a category of journalism. Task that requires efforts since there is talk of its own extinction, unless it has been investigated with due attention. The intention therefore is to remove it from the status of 'common-place' to understand it as a category of journalism. This paper presents a concept of 'scoop', constructed from the empirical observation of the conduct of national news agencies - Estado, Folhapress and O Globo - in the logic of content distribution of the three major Brazilian media conglomerates.
