- The article reports that software company Microsoft Corp. will allow customers with online accounts for certain Microsoft products to make payments with the bitcoin virtual currency. Microsoft executive Eric Lockard said the move, which will be made possible through a partnership with digital-currency payment processor BitPay, reflects growing interest among consumers in virtual currencies.
