Abstract

The acoustic data measurement system and processing algorithm are developed to position a pneumatic impact machine in soil. The method is based on recording lag time of entry of acoustic signal generated on interaction between the pneumatic impact machine and soil in the receiver of multichannel measurement system relative to reference signal of the machine.
