Abstract
- The article discusses Kurdish nationalists' efforts to form a state and the Kurdish autonomous movements in Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Iran, referencing Kurdish history from World War I through the early 21st century. An overview of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq, including in regard to their profession of loyalty to Iraq while pursuing autonomy, is provided.
